Your "melt-in-your-mouth chocolate-y denseness" description is spot on. I really like the little ice cube molds idea, and I'm keen to try you special ice cream, but I'll have to wait until raspberries are affordable.

Thank you thank you for the huge compliment (mentioning my blog recipe for brandy-cherry coated flourless chocolate cake). You add about 1/2 cup of finely puréed brandy cherries into the ice-cream recipe given. If you do not have brandy cherries just use cherries and brandy (the real stuff after it has been flamed! - because the liquor stops the ice-cream from freezing correctly if you don't burn off the alcohol) according to your taste.

Yes the recipe does firm up in the refrigerator and does get better (lasts about a week). I froze the cake coated in the ice-cream for 4 days and there was no change in taste. I think this is one of the BEST chocolate cakes that I have ever made.

Your cake and ice-cream hearts look lovely and raspberry ice-cream is a great choice.
