Maybe a chlorine truck did have that accident… there was an incredibly distinct smell of it in the air again this morning.

Or maybe I’m just developing a brain tumour.

Wii is starting to grow on mii.

Miffy just learnt down. It wasn’t as easy as sit and it will take lots more reinforcement. The idea was to get her to sit and then hold a piece of food in your hand (palm facing floor) until she lies down to try and get it. As soon as she flops down, she gets the treat. Took a while for this to happen, she was more likely to just get up and go sniffing but after about three or so times of her doing it, she worked it out and just started flopping like a natural.

the air was amazing this morning, it was like being at the pool, it seemed to both be foggy and wet which was quite strange because every time I’ve seen fog, it just lifts to a perfectly clear day. Maybe a chlorine truck had an accident overnight, but there was the most amazing wet mineral smell in the air. Is there a difference between fog and mist?

I can just hear the Nintendo marketers saying “it’s like “we” but with two “i”s so it’s modern and cool”.

They had a brilliant name in “revolution” and they replaced it with a word synonymous with “urination”. What next? They’ll be changing the DS to “FiiCiiS”…

Must be the trend of the moment to replace cool codenames with crap real ones. Microsoft who for the first time showed some modicum of creativity in calling their new portable computer “Origami”, on releasing it, announced it was actually just going to be called Microsoft new portable computer (well, something like that, the title was so boring and descriptive, I’ve plain forgotten it).

Who is doing their market research, do they even consider to test their original codenames? Coke recently stuck with their codename Black (well, they had to change it a bit for crappy trademark reasons to Blak) because they found that it did so well in their tests. I cannot believe that “Wii” would have outscored “Revolution”, well at least not in any English speaking world.

(Edit: In a future post I admit the name is growing on me. And now I love it. I still think Revolution is a better name but the cuteness of the Wii is overtaking it’s puerile factor (and even that can still provide many wanted chuckles. Edit#2: Hate Revolution Love Wii Now.).

I tried training my very cute little 9 week old puppy for the first time just then. I used the method in Victoria Stilwell’s “it’s Me or the Dog”, I held a little treat and let her sniff it but not have it. She quickly gets bored of trying to get it and sits down, at that precise moment she gets the treat. This gets repeated a few times and then you add “sit” with a hand signal.

Anyway, she picked it up real quick! It helps that she is a complete guts and will do anything for food.
